The Gift Of Giving

“From my days as a child watching famine strangle Ethiopia, I made a promise to myself to do whatever I could to help those, and others, when I was old enough, and had the means to do so. I want to tell you about my vehicle to fulfil that desire.” Clarence Seedorf. Founder, Champions for Children
As a multi-faceted entrepreneur, the final objective of Clarence Seedorf’s business undertakings is to make a difference on a larger scale through his foundation dedicated to children in difficulty around the world. Champions for Children o.n.l.u.s. is a non-profit foundation born to sustain, help, educate, protect and support the conditions in which children and young people grow up in developing countries.
In particular, Champions for Children gives aid to those countries where natural disaster, war or economic hardship has made it difficult for human beings to develop with dignity.Every project focuses on the individual, taking into consideration all of their needs and their surrounding situation. Only true understanding of the person makes goals obtainable and feasible. The projects undertaken by Champions for Children are inspired by the recognition of fundamental rights for every child, and characterized by their focus on prevention rather than on mere emergency assistance. Education provides support to the child throughout all life’s challenges while instilling in them renewed values, beliefs and reinforced capabilities. The Foundation not only directly undertakes humanitarian projects as an independent entity, but also supports and collaborates with other foundations and humanitarian organizations sharing common goals and objectives.
Philosophy: Champions for Children believes in:
The support, promotion and development of projects in the areas of assistance, health, sport, education, scholastic formation, right to study and professional preparation, sharing the objective to help the development of misfortunate children for economical, social or other reasons;
The support and the promotion of long distance adoptions, scholarships, internships and foreign exchange programs.
The development of events and initiatives with the objective to increase and spread the sensibility towards the needs of the children in high-risk areas.
“My philosophy of life is to do all that I possibly can to prevent problems rather than to find a cure.” Clarence Seedorf
