As a Foundation, Champions for Children is a distinct legal entity and categorized as not-for-profit organization with a defined scope of charitable activities.

The Champions for Children Foundation was official registered in Italy in December 2005.

In Italy a foundation is a private and autonomous organization and its assets must be dedicated to a purpose established by the founder. As defined in the Italian Civil Code of Law (Art. 16 CC, 1942), the name, purpose, assets, domicile, administrative organ, such as the board, regulations and grants distribution are stipulated in the Foundation’s Statutes.
